Reception Refurbishment at 9 Albert Embankment, London SE1
Rendall & Rittner brought us in to refurbish the main reception, back office and ground floor common areas at 9 Albert Embankment. The building stayed fully occupied for the whole project, so tenants were coming and going through the space every day while the work went on around them.
We stripped the area back to the building fabric, taking out the existing flooring, joinery, partitions and electrical services. From there, we fitted new lighting and flooring, followed by the joinery and furniture, including a bespoke reception desk.
Slatted panelling runs through the reception and lounge, with a black trim line at mid-height. The key cupboard doors are clad in the same panels, cut to sit flush around the existing hinges and ironmongery. The reception desk has a slatted front with low-level LED lighting, and we fitted the monitor arms where the security team wanted them. A storage bench with a cushioned seat gives the lobby somewhere to sit, with lockable space underneath.
Before handing over, we helped the security team set up the new reception screens and left panel offcuts on site, so any future repairs can be made with matching stock.
